Fans of Hip Hop love Kittie, born Kali Bianca Troy in Washington, DC. After high school Kittie began college at Clark Atlanta University where she studied Broadcast Journalism. After two years, she decided to transfer back home to Washington, DC to The University of the District of Columbia, where in 1996 she finished up her studies and graduated with a degree in Print Journalism. After graduation Kittie starred on the BET Network playing the outspoken, no-holds barred cyber V.J. ‘Cita’ star of CITA’S WORLD. After Cita appeared on JAM ZONE it was renamed due to her overwhelming popularity. Not only does Kittie lend her voice and improve skills to bring life to the very sassy Cita, she is also responsible for all the movements of the character through the innovation of a motion capture system.
Kittie has most recently been cast in a lead V/O role for the animated Disney show, AMERICAN DRAGON, co-starred in DANNY PHANTOM and BARN YARD on Nickelodeon and done two national commercials for radio using her range of vocal talents. As an actor Kittie has starred in URBAN MASSACRE, directed by Dale Restigihini; KICK’IN IT AT THE CRIB, directed by Lamar Tate; and WATERMELON HEIST, directed by K.C. Amos, featuring cameos by many well-known comics including Red Grant, John Amos, and Paul Rubin. Her latest role was a prominent feature in an independent drama called BEHIND THE 8-BALL, directed by Miguel Nunez and Troy Curve. She also appeared in a short film called LOVE AND DINNER, which went on to win an award for originality and content in Washington, DC.
Kittie is also a successful radio personality and can be heard throughout the year on WBOT in Boston for the Saturday Nite Jump-Off. She is currently heard giving the weekly entertainment “dish” called SYNOPSIS on Big Tigger’s two hour syndicated radio show, as well as CITA’S weekly tips, and The Music Minute through out the country on the Westwood 1/BET radio network, and the Beat (KKBT) in Los Angeles. She has received a warm welcome from the music community and has appeared on a number of albums performing skits and the like for Dr. Dre’s Aftermath, artist Truth Hurts, and Snoop Dogg on his latest album.
Kittie’s services have been in demand as hostess and MC for events as well, such as Sashi in Jamaica, along with gigs from Minneapolis to the Bahamas. During the 2003 All-Star Weekend she commentated at Ludacris’ Def Jam South celebrity basketball game. Kali Bianca Troy is an artist of all sorts. Not only is she an experienced actress, V.J., and radio personality, Kittie is a dedicated mother who has much more in store for the future!
